How to take your Sarsaparilla root:
Chop up the root into little pieces and use a heaped tsp of chopped root per cup of filtered (ideally Distilled) water. Boil the roots for 10-15 minutes and let them steep for 10-15 minutes. Makesure you drink as much water as you do herbs (e.g. if you drink two cups of herbs, drink two cups of water).
